A hushed lower level haven of The Guild restaurant; Sub Rosa features a stylish design, masterful cocktails and an elevated lounge experience. Sub Rosa’s décor plays off the existing qualities of the historic space, featuring plush, vintage-style furniture of deep red tones and dark brown leathers; intriguing oversized artwork; dramatic drapery; and custom statement lighting that emphasizes the bold textures of the century-old brick walls.
Working with Andrew Oliver of Oliver & Bonacini. I created skull drawings and juxtaposed them against edited flower illustrations from Pierre-Joseph Redoute' thus creating a ninety-linear-foot digital graphic for their main dining room. I also created a patterned wallpaper design for their back halls and elevator panels in addition to their sheer drapery running the length of their main room.
Below; examples of my graphite & Procreate skeleton/skull drawings implemented within the composition.
